摘要: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is one of the main causes chronic liver disease worldwide. The diagnosis and monitoring HCV infection a crucial need in clinical management. conventional diagnostic technologies are challenged when trying to address molecular diagnostics, especially because they require complex time-consuming sample preparation phase. Here, new concept based on surface functionalization was applied viral RNA purification: first all polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) flat surfaces were modified hold adsorption. After careful chemical morphological analysis surfaces, protocols giving best adsorbing PDMS microdevices. functionalized microdevices then used for purification from infected human plasma samples. RT successfully performed same microdevice chamber, saving time analysis, reagents, labor. PCR protocol cDNA amplification also implemented microdevice, demonstrating that entire process readout, could be on-chip. Not only but other microdevice-based detection therefore result successful Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostics resource-limited settings.
