摘要: It is well known that magnetic properties of Goss-oriented silicon-iron are dependent upon external mechanical stress. This paper describes some the recent work carried out in UK on effects high compressive stress, combined longitudinal and transverse stresses, also elevated temperature power loss magnetostriction silicon-iron. Results show that, when stress greater than about 15 MPa applied along rolling direction generally double zero level, permeability drops linearly, B-H loop becomes constricted. The does not rise so rapidly higher material, but reaches a final level. These explained using simple domain model. Measurements under before after coating removal shown. At temperature, the effect found to be more pronounced, benefit material reduced. extent which may degrade performance laminated cores discussed, it hinted perhaps might only partly account for building cores.
