摘要: Cow antibodies are unusual in having an exceptionally long third complementarity determining region of the heavy chain (CDR H3). These CDR H3s have a multitude cysteines and form distinct domain characterized by β-ribbon 'stalk' disulfide bonded 'knob'. Cows appear to utilize somatic hypermutation single VDJ rearrangement produce astounding variety H3 sequences with different bonding patterns within knob. Thus, cows may be unique amongst vertebrates evolving antibody system both scaffold for binding antigen as well diversity creating process.
