摘要: The role of single-dose therapy was evaluated by pooling data on 320 infants and children included in 12 clinical trials that differed from each other many variables. Single-dose achieved an overall cure rate 89%, but varied with different antimicrobial agents. Intramuscular aminoglycosides were the best (cure rate: 96%) closely followed trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole or a sulfa drug 90%. amoxicillin (75%) significantly less. most effective 90%) well-documented lower urinary tract infections (UTIs) slightly less 89%) among those whom upper UTI could not be excluded. In patients normal tract, more 93%) than group 36 malformation 69%). can used confidence UTIs tracts. abnormal tracts UTIs, may caution, preferably using aminoglycosides. Further studies are required to establish definitive malformation.
