Dispersive Magneto-Optical Phenomena in Semiconductors in Crossed Magnetic and Electric Fields

摘要: The semiclassical and quantum theories of the Faraday Voigt effects due to transitions between two simple energy bands in presence crossed magnetic electric fields are developed. dispersive phenomena found complement augment information obtained from absorption. decrease instensity $\ensuremath{\Delta}n=0$ transitions, finite probability with $\ensuremath{\Delta}n\ensuremath{\ne}0$, shift lower energies here, as they were optical absorption constant second-order (forbidden) is calculated anisotropy respect electric-field direction predicted. experimental results crossed-field rotation gemanium presented, comparison theory carried out, taking into account degeneracy valence band. Good correlation experiment obtained.
