摘要: BACKGROUND The efficacies of four commercial insecticides and two research compounds were tested against aphids (Aphis craccivora Myzus persicae), whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci) red-spotted spider mites (Tetranychus urticae) in intrinsic (oral administration), curative (direct contact spray) translaminar (arthropods infested on untreated leaf underside) assays. With a new model, the transport across cuticle tissues electrochemical distribution test cellular compartments apoplast calculated. RESULTS The comparison both information sets revealed that intracellular localisation active ingredients determines performance different target pests because feeding behaviours: feed mesophyll, mostly vascular system. Polar have slow adsorption into cells thus favourable xylem sap. Slightly lipophilic bases get trapped vacuoles, which is less suited place to control hemipteran but appropriate mites. Non-favourable led strong reduction efficacy phloem feeders. CONCLUSION Prediction optimisation pesticides add valuable for targeted bioavailability can indicate directions improved pesticide design. © 2015 Society Chemical Industry
