摘要: Many neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases other brain disorders are accompanied by impairments in high-level cognitive functions including memory, attention, motivation, decision-making. Despite several decades of extensive research, neuroscience is little closer to discovering new treatments. Key impediments include the absence validated robust assessment tools for facilitating translation from animal models humans. In this review, we describe a state-of-the-art platform poised overcome these improve success translational Mouse Translational Research Accelerator Platform (MouseTRAP), which centered on touchscreen testing system rodents. It integrates touchscreen-based tests with state-of-the art neurotechnology record manipulate molecular circuit level activity vivo during human-relevant performance. The also integrated two Open Science platforms designed facilitate knowledge data-sharing practices within rodent community, touchscreencognition.org mousebytes.ca. Touchscreencognition.org includes Wall, showcasing news publications, Forum, community discussion, Training, courses, videos, SOPs, symposia. To get started, interested researchers simply create user accounts. We origins system, novel lines research it has facilitated, its increasingly widespread use attributable part knowledge-sharing efforts over past decade. then identify unique features MouseTRAP that stand potentially revolutionize initiatives partner similar such as McGill's M3 (m3platform.org).
