摘要: Abstract Tubular CHS-to-RHS Y-joints under axial loads were studied numerically for the determination of stress concentration factors hot spot stresses. Finite element models with detailed weld profile setup tubular various configurations. Hot was determined based on results finite analysis by linear extrapolation method and 1 mm method. Stress then calculated verified comparison related test results. The effects dimensionless geometry parameters brace inclination angle discussed. Empirical formulas calculation at feature locations Y-joints, crown toe, saddles heel, regression analysis. accuracy applicability proposed empirical verified.
