摘要: Rickettsioses are arthropod-borne infections caused by bacteria belonging to the genus Rickettsia within family Rickettsiaceae in order Rickettsiales. Most of these zoonoses transmitted ticks, but some vectored lice, fleas, or mites. Tick-borne rickettsioses have specific geographic distributions, directly dependent on distribution their vectors. These among oldest known diseases. Rocky Mountain spotted fever (RMSF) was first reported 1899 Maxcey; its vector, Dermacentor andersoni, described 1909.
