摘要: Activated monoamine oxidase (MAO) has a critical role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD), including formation amyloid plaques from β peptide (Aβ) production and accumulation, neurofibrillary tangles, cognitive impairment via destruction cholin- ergic neurons disorder cholinergic system. Several studies have indicated that MAO inhibitors improve deficits reverse A pathology by modulating proteolytic cleavage precursor protein decreasing Aβ fragments. Thus, may be considered as promising therapeutic agents for AD.
