A study of chloride aerosol, total aerosol and ice nuclei in the Indian Regions

摘要: —Atmospheric aerosols were sampled from aircraft at various levels over Rihand in northern India during the monsoon season of 1974 and surface Calcutta, Delhi, Varanasi Jodhpur different seasons 1970 1971. Millipore filter assembly was used for this purpose. Chloride nuclei, total aerosol ice nuclei concentrations evaluated millipore filters. At Rihand/Varanasi, monsoon, chloride size spectrum broader distribution bimodal cloud base level while spectra narrower distributions unimodal other levels. Rihand, mass larger giant number considerably higher, higher lower on days with moderate rain as compared to those light rain. Calcutta (maritime) showed maximum (well-inland) minimum concentrations. As Delhi (continental) had aerosol, markedly (high rainfall region) all values, except small-sized chlorides, notably respect (low region). Ice concentration lowest winter highest summer Delhi. Variations parts day/night are also discussed.
