Participation in a Community Program to Prevent Hydatid Disease

摘要: Dog owners and sheep ranchers in an endemic area of hydatid disease Utah were surveyed regarding their knowledge, attitudes preventive health actions relating to this disease. The effectiveness a comprehensive education-control program was also evaluated. During 8-year period the level awareness mode transmission increased from 28% 83%. proportion infected dogs decreased 27% 12% during first 5 years control program, but 18% recent years. most strongly implemented by population at risk included properly disposing dead refraining feeding viscera dogs. It appears that take stronger initiative than do dog who own no sheep.
