摘要: Abstract We report an infrared reflection-absorption spectroscopy (IRAS) study of the coverage and temperature dependence Pt-CO stretch CO adsorbed at on-top sites Pt(111). At 80 K we observe band 474 cm−1 lowest coverage, a maximum frequency 478 0.19 monolayer which then decreases to 466 0.55 monolayer. The line widths show sudden increase near θ = 0.3 is associated with onset bridge site occupancy. also obtained for coverages 0.50 approximately quadratic full width on (FWHM varying between 3 11 350 K) compared vibrational energy decay mechanism via excitation three substrate phonons reasonably good agreement found.
