摘要: Cellular metals offer a large potential for industrial application. Nevertheless, besides the costs, there are lot of technical improvements necessary in order to gain more widespread use. The reasons lack applications, since now, multiple and they depend from physical properties foams that still not good enough completely experienced, insufficient spreading research results designers. To fulfill parts these requirements, this work investigates detail three foam production processes, studies effect modifications standard manufacturing methods, clarifies influence process parameters on structure foams, characterises relevant properties, finally discusses difference between powder or melt routes. During experimentation hundreds samples were realised reach objectives. Moreover mechanical, physical, microstructural produced have been studied using various techniques including compression testing, scanning electron microscopy, visual inspection, software measurement tool. methods aluminium applied investigation, named TiH2, SDP MGI. Two them (TiH2 SDP) start powdered as row material, while MGI starts aluminium. TiH2 let closed cells open named, correctly, metal sponge. term ‘‘foam’’ was firstly reserved dispersion gas bubbles liquid. morphology type can be preserved by letting liquid solidify, thus obtaining what is called ‘‘solid foam’’. When speaking ‘‘metallic foams’’ one generally means solid foam. metallic stage occurs during fabrication material. For systems it possible define following classification according with Babcsan et al. (2003): • cellular materials high volume fraction voids made up an interconnected network walls membranes; porous isolated spherical pores porosity level usually less than about 70%; soubgroup having polyhedral (even if no membranes across faces inteconnected, better definition sponges).
