A new current mode CMOS variable gain amplifier using a new pseudo-exponential function

摘要: In this paper, a new pseudo-exponential function is described and CMOS exponential-control variable gain amplifier (VGA) based on the introduced. No multiplier needed in proposed approach. The VGA operates current mode includes two different stages. first stage simple while second an attenuator. overall behavior of stages gives function. circuit has been designed simulated for 0.18 μ process. Post layout results show that bandwidth 164 MHz range 32.5 dB between − 21 + 11.5 dB.
