摘要: Infertility is a significant health problem. On the other hand, unintended pregnancies also remain major concern for women worldwide. Improved methods could be developed diagnosing and treating infertility, as well contraception, if more were known about how sperm move through female reproductive tract. Such information would benefit dairy production, because fertility of cattle has been declining. Four questions movement: (1) How do pass cervix? (2) uterotubal junction? (3) are stored released in oviduct? (4) Are guided by chemotaxis to egg? One important aspect these unknowns physical features tract affect movement sperm. Expertise microfluidics modeling at low Reynolds numbers help biologists immensely addressing questions.
