摘要: Many studies have shown that children with autism perform at a much lower level than control subjects on tests of executive functioning, defined as tasks requiring to hold information in mind while suppressing prepotent response. These invariably required (a) follow arbitrary and novel rules (b) make nonverbal We report when one these features is absent, are not impaired relative controls. They similar normally developing the “tubes” task (containing no rules) day/night (in which output verbal). Results consistent, least, hypothesis challenged by because they unlikely encode verbal form.
