摘要: An analysis is presented of spillover effects on electrochemical reactions taking place at catalyst centres, by using the rotating disk electrode technique. The equations are derived for current response a dispersion centres supported assuming two parallel contributions: one limited convective–diffusive transport, and other spillover. contribution arises as result adsorption active species support surface diffusion towards centres. It assumed that dissolved concentration homogeneous, which shown to be better accomplished high enough rotation rates small Levich equation continuous appears limiting case coverages or A factor (Bsp/2zF), with well defined physical meaning, can obtained from experiments characterise quantitatively influence effect reaction. Examples application real systems shown, including hydrogen oxidation reaction oxygen reduction over platinum nanoparticles molecular technique used obtain quantitative information reactions.
