摘要: Following the initial description of HINTS to diagnose acute vestibular syndrome (AVS) in 2009, there has been significant interest systematic evaluation HINTs stroke and other less common central causes AVS. This trend increased with availability video head impulse test (video-HIT). article reviews original papers discusses main publications from 2009 2017. Many authors use video-HIT diagnosis patients AVS; this paper focuses on major topic featuring nystagmus, manual video-HIT, skew deviation. Twenty-five provide a summary last 8 years’ application HINTS, added quantitative information early clinical observations. Further research will undoubtedly specific combination abnormalities high degree lesion localisation aetiology. In short time following description, neurotologist neurologists AVS triad. The introduction greater understanding complex interaction between primary afferents, brainstem cerebellum. addition, it permits angular vestibulo-ocular reflex plane all six semicircular canals, accurate peripheral versus often corroborated by brain imaging.
