摘要: Abstract To better understand the links between ecosystem service (ES) valuation and governance, we examine how local-level practitioners (i.e. state forestry enterprise, tourism entrepreneurs, reindeer herders, a local NGO hunting association) performed ES through argumentation to promote certain interests in practical governance context of debate northern Finland. Our case shows that monetary valuations may escalate disputes instead providing neutral information. Furthermore, increasing transparency could be useful gaining an understanding (strategic) partiality knowledge production perceived values trade-offs across stakeholder groups; this also lead common view on various solutions. On other hand, stakeholders were eager identify benefits at diverse spatial temporal scales strategic manner defend or oppose prevailing land-use practises ownership. However, while positive identification measurement ESs is relevant, attention should paid denying questioning values. This crucial perform by means shape construct options for against particular ESs.
