摘要: In this work we present the results of quantitative and qualitative analyses oil obtained from crude tank bottom sludge (COTBS) generated Azzawiya refinery in Libya. The aim study was to recover evaluate waste oily compare it with parent (Hamada oil) order assess commercial potential recycling oil. benefits would be two-fold, firstly improve utilisation efficiency secondly reducing environmental contamination associated petrogenic hydrocarbon industry. Oily COTBS extracted were characterised key properties measured including water content, light heavy solid content organic matter for density, specific gravity, API (American Petroleum Institute) viscosity, salt ash Solvent (hexane) extraction confirmed that contained 42.08% (± 1.1%) composed hydrocarbons (30.7 ± 0.07%) (69.3 0.4%) fractions. contents 2.9% 0.2%) 55.02% 0.6%) respectively. recovered assessed; gas chromatograph spectrophotometer (GC-MS) indicated 139 different fractions a total petroleum (TPH) concentration 29,367 mgkg-1 polycyclic aromatic (PAH) 11,752 mgkg-1. Several parameters compared content. (33.03) lower than (38.8) due reduced (LHC) TGAFTIR hyphenation shows both mass loss hydrocarbons— low, medium high molecular over range temperatures between 60°C 450°C. extract exhibited non-Newtonian behaviour (shear thinning) shear rate sweep 10 500/s. dynamic rheology data showed exhibit more like liquid. Overall findings COTBD has significant amount similar Hamada This large can reclaimed recycles. Depending on essay, process could performed which parallel will reduce hydrocarbons.
