摘要: Rheology and flow-induced morphology were studied in immiscible polypropylene (PP)/polystyrene (PS) blends with a droplet–matrix microstructure. Two reactive precursors, maleic anhydride grafted PP amino terminated PS, added during the melt-mixing process to form graft copolymer. The effects of both amount compatibilizer shear history on rheological morphological behavior investigated systematically. Small amplitude oscillatory experiments scanning electron microscopy used study phase morphology. Shear has an important effect uncompatibilized blends. droplet size refines increasing rate. decrease this degrees situ compatibilization is mapped out. results are discussed terms interfacial tension coverage. It turns out that most conclusions previously obtained physically compatibilized also valid for chemically ones.
