摘要: Abstract Objective To explore the influence of desmopressin on gonadotropin-induced spermatogenesis in patients with pituitary stalk interruption syndrome (PSIS). Methods A single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted. All PSIS had both gonadotropin and growth hormone (GH) deficiency. Patients were divided into nondesmopressin groups. The groups defined by presence or absence central diabetes insipidus, which determined whether patient received not. Results average age therapy 24.3 26.1 groups, respectively. rate successful 2 31.58% 77.27%, period for first sperm appearance 13.62 ± 5.95 13.48 6.69 months, multivariable Cox proportional hazards model found that adjusted hazard ratio 0.260, indicating a "possible" detrimental effect spermatogenesis. Central insipidus would be expected to show similar effect. decreased increased dosage desmopressin. In group, between GH group non-GH subgroup. higher count concentration than group. Conclusion minority mild therapy. increasing dosage. addition, supplementation did not affect rate.
