摘要: The collaborative non-self-recognition model for S-RNase-based self-incompatibility predicts that multiple S-locus F-box proteins (SLFs) produced by pollen of a given S-haplotype collectively mediate ubiquitination and degradation all non-self S-RNases, but not self in the tube, thereby resulting cross-compatible pollination self-incompatible pollination. We had previously used extracts containing GFP-fused S2 -SLF1 (SLF1 with an -haplotype) Petunia inflata co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) mass spectrometry (MS), identified PiCUL1-P (a pollen-specific Cullin1), PiSSK1 Skp1-like protein) PiRBX1 conventional Rbx1) as components SCF(S) (2-) (SLF) (1) complex. Using PiSSK1:FLAG:GFP Co-IP/MS, we two additional SLFs (SLF4 SLF13) were assembled into SCF(SLF) complexes. As 17 SLF genes to SLF17) have been S3 pollen, here examined whether are similar complexes and, if so, these unique SLFs. modified previous Co-IP/MS procedure, including addition style from four different S-genotypes PiSSK1:FLAG:GFP, perform separate experiments. results taken together show SLF-like protein, SLFLike1 (encoded S-locus-linked gene), co-immunoprecipitated PiSSK1:FLAG:GFP. Moreover, 179 other predicted transcriptomes, only pair 94.9% identity another 99.7% These suggest evolved specifically function self-incompatibility.
