摘要: Soviet Scholarship on Islamic studies exists in almost hermetic isolation from its Western counterpart for both linguistic and methodological reasons. scholarship is concerned with a different set of questions that emerge Marxism, rarely tackling the conceptual formulated West. Nevertheless, very strong descriptive detail which could, if properly utilized, enrich debate. Unfortunately, few Islamicists (except those involved Central Asian history) know Russian, therefore wealth factual information unearthed by scholars remains virtually unknown West plays no part scholarly discourse here.
