摘要: Expression of the p53 oncoprotein was examined in a wide range primary human testicular germ-cell tumours using new mouse monoclonal antibody (MAb) BP53-11 raised and characterized this study, parallel with polyclonal rabbit antiserum CM-1. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections showed positive nuclear reaction at least fraction malignant cells 90 (84%) out 107 cases studied. Aberrant accumulation protein found among all major histological types, although generally higher percentage proportion over-expressing nuclei within individual lesions observed embryonal carcinomas when compared seminomas. The typical heterogeneous staining pattern characteristic specimens also cultured cell line derived from carcinoma. In contrast to immunohistochemically undetectable levels normal tes-tes morphologically tissue areas tumour-bearing testes, clearly identified high (59% cases) pre-invasive atypical intratubular germ often adjacent invasive tumours. Altered expression is therefore unifying feature majority male change resulting appears be relatively early step cancer pathogenesis.
