摘要: This paper analysises costs to workers arising from off peak work schedules. A discrete model of joint transportation mode and start time choice is presented derived mcfadden's conditional logit tested formulations. Survey data, collected the residents 1111 vehicle owning households in Singapore 1975 are used. The data include details all journeys made during 24 hour period prior interview, as well socio-economic data. Variables which define following parameters used analysis: travel cost; monthly personal income; cost by divided time; origin destination times; absolute value difference between time, actual number family members aged five or less; age sex. implications these results upon policy discussed. Results indicate that projects such increases road capacity, may not reduce congestion levels, be beneficial if able adjust their times toward starting time. (TRRL)
