摘要: The effects of skim milk powder (SMP) and fluid (FSM) on plasma cholesterol (CH) hepatic liquid concentrations, 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA) reductase activity rats different ages were compared. Groups young (23 days old) older (45 fed a casein -based diet provided tap water; the casein-based FSM as source; or water into which SMP (25% by wt.) had been isocalorically incorporated. Plasma CH concentrations determined at 0, 1.5, 3 5 wk, total lipid, triglyceride wk. Half each group killed wk other half for determinations HMG CoA activity. Both decreased levels 1.5 feeding in rats; not altered either SMP. derivatives increased both rat, whereas lipid unchanged. In these experiments along with comparable included an increase HMB activity, no change levels, decrease CH; latter response depended initial age rat.
