摘要: Objectives/Hypothesis Sinus surgery is one of the most frequently performed surgical operations. The objective was to determine if rates have changed over last 10 years. Study Design Secondary data analysis State Ambulatory Surgery Database Florida. Methods We calculated population adjusted ambulatory sinus for all adults, 2000 2009. Result There a substantial decrease in proportion patients who had hospital setting and increase with image guidance. Population-adjusted increased study period, from mean 104 cases per 100,000 129 2009 (P <0.001). Procedure also increased, 226 316 Rates frontal procedures more than doubled, which four sinuses were treated tripled during same time period. A greater number associated use guidance high annual case volume. strongest predictor individual surgeon. Conclusion Rates undergoing case. strong association procedural patterns specific surgeons sinusitis care highlights importance future investigations examine training, technological, reimbursement factors that may influence surgeons' clinical decision making this common condition.
