摘要: The article investigates the different types of social mechanisms responsible for interdependence couples' reproductive preferences predicted by diffusion models fertility and family behavior. We analyze transcripts in-depth interviews carried out with 54 women in northern part Italy. rich information on observations conversations about choices relatives peers enables us to distinguish four ways which interaction influences preferences, namely learning, pressure, subjective obligation contagion. Second, we show how efficacy each mechanism affecting behavior depends kind structure personal relationships involved interaction.
