Tumor detection and localization with 99mTc-tetracycline.

摘要: The use of 99mTc-tetracycline as a tumor-localizing agent for external scanning was assessed in rats, mice, rabbits and man. Tumors were successfully delineated 14 18 patients studied. Chemotherapy radiotherapy appeared to inhibit tumor uptake 99mTc-tetracycline; background activity due by the gastrointestinal urinary tracts diminished detection tumors within abdomen. Outside abdomen, patient scintiscans accurately demonstrated number extent lesions.
