摘要: Despite more than 30 years of work on the Wnt signaling pathway, basic mechanism how extracellular signal increases intracellular concentration β-catenin is still contentious. Circumventing much detailed biochemistry, we used principles chemical kinetics coupled with quantitative measurements to define reactions directly affected by signal. We conclude that core transduction relatively simple, only two regulated phosphorylation steps. Their partial inhibition gives rise full dynamics response and subsequently maintains a steady state in which increased.
