摘要: Objective: To determine whether nutrient intake and academic psychosocial functioning improve after the start of a universal-free school breakfast program (USBP). Methods: Information was gathered from 97 inner city students prior to USBP again had been in place for 6 months. Students who total energy intakes !50% recommended daily allowance (RDA) and/or 2 or more micronutrients RDA were considered be at nutritional risk. Results: Prior USBP, 33% all study children classified as being Children risk significantly poorer attendance, punctuality, grades school, behavior problems, less likely eat than not Six months free programs, decreased their showed greater: improvements attendance participation, decreases hunger, math did decrease Conclusion: Participation enhanced associated with significant student performance hunger.
