摘要: Quantitative assessment methods are attaining special attention in geodiversity research. Procedures to map indices have been proposed by several authors though there is no consensus on how best apply and replicate them diverse areas. A contribution the quantitative mapping of using GIS tools quantification classification presented. These procedures were applied municipality Miguel Pereira, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. stage supported multiparts technique, which elements considered without pondering their repetition, singleparts where repetitions counted. Geodiversity then mapped classified according MOV (maximum obtained value) that considers highest score sum sub-indices MPV possible defined maximum scores each sub-indices. The maps produced reflect a higher difference between minimum geodiversity, more areas with low geodiversity. Fieldwork surveys support idea combining technique for its appropriate characterize area. Nevertheless, different methodological approaches may generate significantly results, what must be taken into account when considering as tool land management.
