摘要: Commercial cuts yield is an important trait for beef production, which affects the final value of products, but its direct determination a challenging procedure to be implemented in practice. The measurement ribeye area (REA) and backfat thickness (BFT) can used as indirect measures meat yield. REA BFT are traits studied cattle due their strong implication technological (carcass yield) nutritional characteristics like degree muscularity total body fat.
