Extraction, Dyeing, and Antibacterial Properties of Crataegus Elbursensis Fruit Natural Dye on Wool Yarn

摘要: Fruits obtained from shrubs of the Crataegus elbursensis (C. elbursensis) plant demonstrate significant antioxidant and antibacterial properties. In this study, natural dye was sono-extracted fresh dried fruits applied in dyeing finishing wool. The maximum sono-extraction yield when optimal conditions ethanol/ water (4/1 v/v) as extracting solvent, time 30 min, pH 4, temperature 50 oC, C. concentration 10 g/l were used. When wool yarns dyed with extracted dye, uptake achieved using 75 % owf, condition 100 60 LR 100:1. Different metal salts like aluminum sulfate, copper tin chloride on by pre-mordanting method their effects uptake, color variation, fastness examined. Results showed that itself had relatively high good un-mordanted Further, each mordant different effect properties depending its coordination ability molecules chains. Moreover, activity against Escherichia coli (E. coli) Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacteria.
