The effect of desmopressin on nocturnal polyuria, overnight weight loss, and morning postural hypotension in patients with autonomic failure.

摘要: Day and night urine volume, morning evening body weight, supine sitting blood pressure were measured in five patients with chronic autonomic failure who not receiving treatment drugs. All had nocturnal polyuria, overnight weight loss, a pronounced postural fall pressure, lowest levels the morning. Desmopressin (2-4 micrograms given intramuscularly at 8 pm) reduced diminished raised fall, especially morning, when often their worst. may be useful alternative to, or supplement, other forms of some failure.
