摘要: Contextualized Motivation Theory (CMT): Intellectual Passion, Mathematical Need, Social Responsibility, and Personal Agency in Learning Mathematics Janelle Marie Hart Department of Education Master Arts Student motivation has long been a concern mathematics educators. Here, I characterize motivation, defined as an individual’s desire to act particular ways, through analysis students’ extended, collaborative problem solving efforts. Grounded longitudinal research project calculus learning teaching, (CMT) offers means for understanding the complexities student motivations learning.
