摘要: Abstract Fibrinogen-related proteins (FREPs) are hypothesized to function in non-self-recognition the snail Biomphalaria glabrata . To investigate this assumption, expression of four members FREP gene family was studied using quantitative PCR at 0.5–16 days following exposure M line and BS-90 strain B. Echinostoma paraensei Schistosoma mansoni Both strains react to, but fail eliminate E. Only is immunologically resistant S. responded with significantly elevated 2 4 Following mansoni, snails showed an increase (57-fold 4.5-fold increase, respectively), susceptible did not display a response. Expression 3 7 any snail/trematode combination. These profiles support hypothesis that some s play role anti-trematode responses
