摘要: Activated flux assisted tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding of austenitic 316L stainless steel was investigated. Autogenous TIG used to produce a bead-on-plate weld. The FeO, FeS, and FeF2 were selected as the powders. results showed that FeS FeO fluxes produced high aspect ratio welds, while relatively low undercut defect with use flux. An experimental result suggested constriction arc column mechanism in improving activated penetration. In addition, process can increase delta-ferrite content weld metal.
