摘要: Abstract Objectives To characterize a representative sample of fibromyalgia women based on set relevant factors known to be related this disease. distinguish specific the disease from other symptoms that might also exist in non-fibromyalgia women. test whether affects more severely physical or psychological outcomes. Methods A total 459 vs. 214 (control) Southern Spain (Andalusia) took part cross-sectional study. Several instruments were used assess tenderness, impact fibromyalgia, fatigue, health-related quality life, mental health, and cognitive performance. Results Overall, showed worse status pain, depression, anxiety than controls ( P d ~1 ~5.5). No differences between observed memory performance, except for delayed recall, but effect size was low (~0.25). The global component (~3.3) larger (~1.3), all Conclusions Our results reinforce understanding as polysymptomatic distress condition with pain its main symptom. findings support seems have greater outcomes, though both are largely affected.
