Health-related quality of life in women with fibromyalgia: clinical and psychological factors associated

摘要: The objective of the study was to analyse impact fibromyalgia (FM) on health-related quality life (HRQOL) and identify clinical psychological factors associated with disease. A cross-sectional conducted adult Portuguese women FM. Analysed data were demographic, variables HRQOL: SF-36 Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ). relationship between HRQOL other made a bivariate analysis. To assess relative contribution variables, series multiple regression analyses designed made. sample consisted 76 FM (49.61 ± 10.07 years). All dimensions affected in FM, especially Physical Functioning, Role Functioning General Health. mean FIQ total score 68.59 ± 17.54, 40 patients (53%) presented scores ≥70. Pain intensity, assessed by 10-cm visual analogue scale (VAS), significant predictor expressing association all SF-36, except Emotional Functioning. Anxiety (Hospital Depression Scale (HADS)) Mental Component Health (SF-36). (HADS) related Vitality, FIQ. Emotion-focused coping social support (Satisfaction Social Support (ESSS)) These explained an acceptable proportion variability (R 2), ranging from 31.3% 70.6% FIQ, for 2 = 6.1). has negative both general specific HRQOL, physical dimensions. anxiety depression symptoms emotion-focused are most relevant explanatory HRQOL.
