Tensiomyography, sonoelastography, and mechanosensitivity differences between active, latent, and control low back myofascial trigger points: A cross-sectional study.

摘要: The myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is considered the most common musculoskeletal condition. lumbopelvic (LPP) established as one of prevalent disorders. Nevertheless, previous research has not yet studied contractibility changes by tensiomyography between trigger point (MTrP) types and normal tissue. Therefore, aim this study was to determine tensiomyography, sonoelastography, pressure threshold (PPT) differences palpation area active latent MTrPs with regards control points in lumbar erector spinae muscles subjects LPP. A cross-sectional descriptive performed. convenience sample 60 (20 MTrPs, 20 points) registered bilaterally from nonspecific order or randomized for each side. outcome assessors were blinded type. measurements sonoelastography manual strain index, PPT, separated 15 minutes. Five contractile objective parameters were: maximal radial displacement (Dm), contraction time (Tc), sustain (Ts), delay (Td), half-relaxation (Tr). Tensiomyography did show any statistically significant difference (P > 0.05) points. PPT showed (P < 0.05) all types, except comparison (P = 0.091). Regarding a moderate positive correlation observed Dm (P = 0.047; τB = 0.450). Considering points, shown Td (P = 0.044; τB = 0.328). properties seem differences, while mechanosensitivity presented higher stiffness lower respectively, correlations, further needed regarding muscle modifications under MPS treatments, especially sites.
