摘要: Diabetic foot disease and ulceration is a major complication that may lead to the amputation of lower limbs. Microangiopathy play significant role in pathogenesis tissue breakdown diabetic foot. However, precise mechanisms this process remain unclear poorly understood. Microvasculature skin comprised nutritive capillaries thermoregulatory arteriovenous shunt flow. It regulated through complex interaction neurogenic neurovascular control. The interplay among endothelial dysfunction, impaired nerve axon reflex activities, microvascular regulation patient results poor healing wounds. Skin microvasculature undergoes both morphologic changes as well functional deficits when parts body come under stress or injury. Two important theories have been put forward explain abnormalities observed are haemodynamic hypothesis capillary steal syndrome. With advances medical technology, can now be measured quantitatively. This article reviews development dysfunction discusses how it relate problems ulceration. Common methods for measuring microcirculation also discussed.
