摘要: Skeletal muscle tissue engineering is a promising interdisciplinary specialty which aims at the reconstruction of skeletal loss caused by traumatic injury congenital defects or tumor ablations. Due to difficulty in procuring donor tissue, possibilities for alternative treatment like autologous grafting (e.g. flaps) are limited. This process also presents consistent problems with donor-site morbidity. tries overcome this problem generating new, functional from precursor cells (stem cells). Multiple stem different sources can be utilized restoration differentiated using principles. After 15 years intensive research emerging field, first time, solutions strategies embryonic cells, arterio-venous (AV) loop models, etc.) being presented resolve vascularisation engineered constructs. article reviews recent findings and outlines its relevance clinical applications reconstructive surgery.
