摘要: Angiotensin II may be a significant contributor to the pathophysiology of ischemic stroke. The major goal present study was clarify role angiotensin in brain ischemia. We investigated effect on cerebral injury following transient forebrain ischemia induced by bilateral occlusion common carotid arteries pentobarbital anesthetized gerbils. Following 60-min ischemia, we infused (n=17), phenylephrine or saline and evaluated their effects blood pressure, flow, survival ratio, edema, energy metabolism. treatment during post-cerebral reperfusion worsened specific gravity cortex (p<0.01) association with less recovery pHi (p<0.005).
