摘要: This study verified that laser ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LI-TOFMS) is applicable to the evaluation of a local microenvironment in an emulsion. Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and toluene were used as disperser extraction solvent, respectively, added model sample aqueous styrene solution. The emulsion was introduced into LI-TOFMS series spectra obtained. Then, time courses constructed by extracting peak areas corresponding species. As result, signal intensities both sometimes increased suddenly, which could be recognized spikes. Moreover, many spikes arising from species simultaneously appeared. maximum intensity spike 27-fold higher than obtained solution, while other decreased about one-third These results suggest solution extracted small droplets. method also applied containing well m-phenylenediamine hydrophilic compound. Consequently, selective solvent droplets observable due difference partition coefficient. has several characteristic superiorities such selectivity robustness, all ions induced can detected. That is, number constituents measured individual droplet, irreplaceable direct sample. Therefore, useful measurement time-dependent concentrations and/or condition changes with polymerization.
