摘要: As surgeons, we share the common goals of making total knee arthroplasty as reliable, reproducible, and durable can. For that reason, are almost compelled to investigate rotating platform because contentions it might improve patellar tracking, decrease lateral release rates, flexion, or perhaps give better wear characteristics over long term. But when take a step back carefully examine scientific data from 20 years clinical experience with knee, speak for itself. To date, there no demonstrated advantages in regard wear, survivorship, kinematics, range motion, function. The design then is really just another design, clinically indistinguishable many well-functioning, fixed-bearing designs.
