摘要: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a prime regulator of cell proliferation, angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and vascular permeability. Its activity mediated by the high affinity tyrosine kinase receptors, KDR/Fik-1 Fit-1. In this article, recently discovered structural, molecular biological properties VEGF are described. Among topics discussed receptor structure bioactivity, regulation expression, role its receptors in development, involvement normal pathological (ocular tumor) angiogenesis.
