摘要: Using the localized surface plasmon resonance as a probe in solid and liquid Sn nanoparticles of 107 nm diameter 52 height, we have studied their kinetics melting freezing at temperature ramps and, for first time, fixed temperatures. During ramps, exhibit distinct hysteresis. The occurs near bulk point while is observed much lower temperatures so that undercooling interval similar to 130 K. time scale measured different rapidly decreases latter are lowered. All these findings been quantitatively described by assuming nucleation occur on edges employing classical theory with corresponding modifications.
